What does it mean to have a Service Dog?
A service dog is more than a well-trained pet — it is a reliable partner trained to assist an individual with specific daily challenges and improve their quality of life. Through specialized training, service dogs learn to remain calm, focused, and dependable in real-world environments while performing tasks tailored to their handler’s needs. For many people, a service dog provides greater independence, confidence, safety, and emotional stability in everyday life. At Stay Golden K9, we believe a service dog should not only perform tasks, but also integrate seamlessly into the handler’s lifestyle with consistency and reliability. Our goal is to develop dogs that people can truly trust wherever life takes them.
Please note: Not every dog can be a service dog for a number of reasons. Service Dogs are held to a very high standard of obedience when in the general public and some dogs have a hard time completing certain task. We will do everything we can to ensure your dog can complete training, but results are not guaranteed.
